Trolling Wannabe Pornstars 2K16!

He's just moving his dopey plot along, leaving Friedkin to fill in the gaps with car chases and irrelevant chinoiserie. Writer Joe Eszterhas's follow-up to his Showgirls fiasco is every bit as hopeless, and this time he takes some good actors down with him. Car-chase aficionados are advised not to miss out on Jade, but others can safely give it a pass. This is the second high-profile Joe Eszterhas script in three weeks, and were it not sleazy enough to make his Showgirls howlerama pass for fun, you could debate whether he or Mark Fuhrman has had a worse fall season. It's a good, solid thriller with some terrific touches by Friedkin and some truly bizarre ones by Eszterhas.
